Alert! Warning! Warning!

He heard the language
of stars with every beat.

No one wanted to listen.
There was a game on.
The home team really
needs this goal.

He had answers.
He could see how many
dimensions it took for love
to walk home
to a unified verse.

His wife believed him,
but, didn’t understand.
He was sanguine
shifting to a black hole.

    Hey Bro ~

Ya know.....this is going to sound weird........but......I thought I was going to read the best work from you from this Prompt.......and then I see you went easy on it......gosh......I want to see what else you would have written.........did you go easy on me because I always say your work is sometimes over my head?

So, let it be over my head.....I love your work the way you usually write......will you pen me something else?

I miss the depth of that brain of yours

The second stanza just does nothing for me......and seems out of place......not something I normally read from Brother Tomis

Thank you for entering.......God bless you,

    Brother Bear ~

You have difficulty with the playful side of me. I have been on both sides of this equation. i have numerous vasity letters from high school, raquetball player in college etc. But I also have dealt with the ignorance and intolerance of those who hide in sports so this was spoofing both. Want density and layers of meaning try "Daedalus Becomes Teacher," you should love it. I think the one before this. I am a multifaceted human being with subtle depths and many tangents, I think my poetry reflects it. I promise, the next one I hand to you will where a dignified mantel of "deep meaning" and I will try not to hide a sly smile in it, just for you to catch the glint of

Couldn't pass up the chance to comment of the war between geek and jock and how self righteous they are.

Everybody has a preconditioned listening. You have to hear it to know what they are available to hear. You have to talk to their understanding or they won't understand anything you say, even when they repeat it word for word.

There is no point in a sales call on game day. No one is listening.
National Emergency, weather warnings all can wait -- the home team is playing and everything else is in the backseat or unimportant. I just thought playing with a unified field theory would enhance the polarity.
