God Never Leaves Us

Missing image
Psalm 46 God Never Leaves Us

We may turn our backs on God for
a while, but the Divine never leaves us
God is always with us, even though we
may not be aware of this or know it
We are being held up and provided guidance

Our lives and those around us may be falling
apart; and we may lose all hope and faith
Everything that we know may be torn away
from under us and we will have no ground
to stand upon, yet God is our solid foundation

The Divine resides within us; a Tree of Life
and God is a strong rock from which pure,
life-giving and healing waters flow
All may crumble and deteriorate in our lives
yet God holds us up and it is the Divine
that is still there when everything else is gone

When all is stripped away, it is just us and God
The Divine is what is left and through this all
is possible and we are healed and made whole
It is not within our capacity to grasp the Divine
Plan in its entirety and the reason for everything
But all has its purpose under the Heavens

In our darkest night, it is this Divine Light
That breaks through the chaos and the despair
Then we truly come face to face with our God
In this we must trust, for the Divine is our
Strength and our guide, even through our shadows

what a beautiful poem about God never leaving us...
"God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
    And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling..."

thank you for sharing your talent with me. keep writing dear poet! God bless you always
