As a child I gave you my hand
As a mother you took my hand
Guiding me
Teaching me
The right decisions I should make
Never giving me wrong advice
Giving me your love and full attention
Every thing I always needed
You as a person I watched you
Give to people
Share with people
Help people
Laugh with people
This is a day of celebration
So from me as your daughter I make this dedication
You are one of the chosen ones to lead god's flock
Leading others down the right road to take their walk
Commitment I know you will have
To show others the right path
With open arms I know you will accept
People, no matter what choices they make
Helping them along their long journey of contemplation
On their journey of exploration
You will guide them through their time of doubtfulness and confusion
Helping them come to a righteous conclusion
