There's nothing to writing
All you do is sit down
At a typewriter and open a vein
Your inspired brain
You go all day scribbling notes
You get crazy ideas
Spilling sarcasm
Blunt opinions
You don't care
This is your barrier
You will always have
Your truest friends
Holding you up
When you are low
you don't have your happy glow
When times are hard
And the sky is black
Writing is your release
Nothing holds you back
We all know that
You're there for us
When the clouds roll in
And the thunder begins
When you slip
Let the coin flip
Let me in
to prevent your blues
Do you realise
how some envy you
Do you believe
what I am saying is true
Pick up the phone
When you're feeling all alone
I wish I could fight
as strong as you do
Is your mask of make believe
I want you to know from this write
That you can flip the coin
day or night
(It is alright)
