mistaken foreplay
damp grass whispers no
her slip is showing

Chill
             
night shivers
leaves fall on sweatshirts
walking dirt roads

Soon

naked branches
trees breathing briskly
sap buckets wait

Hurry

birds flutter quickly
squirrels scamper acorns
shopping list


Fall in Love

brooks stream delight
deer find lovers

    Don't worry. Almost nobody follows the true rules of Haiku, or even knows them. This is very good poetry and I hope you do well in the contest.
