Tell me how this could have happened?
For I haven’t got a clue.
I know it takes more than one person,
What exactly did we do?
Looking back all I remember
Was that we were both real drunk.
Laughing out loud and dancing,
Having fun shaking our junk.
Then as we came together dancing
You tripped knocking me to the ground.
When I woke up in the morning
In your bed, you weren’t around.
Suddenly a few weeks later
You surprise me with this call.
Then the next thing I know
I wake up lying in the hall.
How could I have knocked you up?
When it was you who knocked me down.
She said, “I don’t remember either
But we did more than dance around”.
“So what have you got to say”?
“And what are WE going to do”?
“Now that WE are knocked up
Will you stay and see it through”?
As I searched for the right answer
Then smiling I had to say
“Knocking you up sure knocked me down
But I will never walk away”.
