Once upon a time
There was Joey and Eve
Things were very hot that year
All the plumerias blossoming in its trees
He would climb mountains
Climb everywhere
Do anything for her
Oh Joey boy
Thousands of flowers
Exotic wild flowers adorned her hair
Everything was gold
One night the bed caught fire
He was beautiful
And a very good musician
We lived on moonlight
And junk food
It was the evening
Of abandonment and delight
Joey the audacious show-off
Eve the silent beauty
The moons last beams of pale blue light
Cruised like sharks
You came into my life really fast
And I liked it
I want to spend my life with you
We sparkled in the mud of our joy
I was wet thighed with surrender
Then there was a gap in things
And the whole world tilted
This is the problem
I'm an addict to the bottle
With you inside me
I become your burden
And perhaps you'll never sleep again
There was a demon in the water
Everywhere I looked
Thursday-I didn't mean that
And sometimes you hate me
Mother of sadness
Angel of the sea
Remember me in my opaqueness
You pointed to the sky
To the one called Sirius
Or dog star
Fly away sun
Ha ha fuck you
You are so funny Joe
A single plumeria by the bed
My tangled messy hair at dawn
These ruffled sheets
And you are gone
And I am going too

Very sad....
the title leads the reader to beleive that what they are about to read is light and uplifting....and then you immerse the reader into a very telling story of Joey and Eve. Well written, well felt. Thanks for sharing.
