I thought that forever would be our psalm
as palms of tenderness touched our souls so calm.
I can't imagine these days and nights coming to an end
what was once our sweet music, now a dischordant blend.
But you're gone, we're both alone, give us one last chance,
don't walk away without a second glance.
The walls of this heart slowly wither and decay
and I'm left wandering this life in total dismay.
To dance in tune with you within love's warm embrace
no more sleepless nights, together forever is our place.
Author notes
"totally awesome monkies"
This is your prompt:
"Who's gonna call on Sunday morning?
Who's gonna drive you home?
I just want one more chance
To put my arms in fragile hands."

You always manage to turn the most interesting of thoughts, into the most beautiful of words... and images

This was a beautiful piece.
I loved the raw emotion, as well as, your rhyme scheme.
