I'm hearing so many different things...
God almighty, this is my prayer,
Give me strength to pass temptation,
Wisdom to know your will, and
Grace to be free from this sin...
Paul wrote to Timothy that there would come a time when men would not want sound doctrine, but instead want their ears tickled. (2 Tim. 4:3)
That time has come...
They tell me all I must do is believe,
But that's not what YOU say!
Time after time you say,
"If one is not born of the WATER AND THE SPIRIT he CAN NOT enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5)
"He who believes AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved..." (Mark 16:16)
"Paul said to them REPENT and each of you be BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS..." (Acts 2:38)
I don't know how to respond to them, Father...
They keep misquoting John 3:16 "that who ever shall believe..."
But they don't mention John 3:5 or even John 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has life, but he who does NOT OBEY the son shall NOT see that life."
They're the same chapter of the same book!
What must I do to show them father?
If they could only see what I can see...
You said not everyone who says to you 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who DOES THE WILL OF YOUR FATHER will enter!
You even said people will say to you "In your name we cast out demons and and performed many miracles" but you will say to them "I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!" (Matt. 7:21-23)
They will perform miracles, and still won't enter because they didn't follow your word, and do exactly what you said!
Then they tell me that it's a work and works don't get us into Heaven,
But it's no more of a work than the "sinner's prayer"
Speaking of the "sinner's prayer," I still haven't found it in the Bible yet!
But they don't know that "we are justified by works and not by faith alone" (James 2:24)
Or even that "faith without works is dead" (James 2:26)
James told us, "You BELIEVE THERE IS ONE GOD, you do well, the DEMONS ALSO BELIEVE, and they tremble..." (James 2:19)
Oh, most holy God, I know that Salvation is in no other name but Christ (Acts 4:12)
and I know that all of us who are baptized into Christ are baptized INTO HIS DEATH (Romans 6:3)
And that all of us who have been baptized into Christ have clothed ourselves with Christ (Gal. 3:27)
Oh Father, your truth is so evident... How can they deny it?
Please show them, Father. I don't want them to go to Hell.
Please help me to help you save them, God.
I love you, and I can't wait to see you in Heaven.
I'm sad God, I miss you... even though I've never really seen you before.
But I know I will, and I can't wait...
I will pray again soon, ok?
I love you, I really do, so much.
Amen
Please tell me what you think

Wow, Roger, it sounds like you have a real burden! I think your heart is in the right place, but it seems like you're spining around. Maybe you should slow down and forget everything you've heard, and just listen to God. I'll be praying for you. And I do like it! It's a very emotional, heartfelt prayer!

I do not have a burden, but a task. My task is to share this Gospel, the one that comes from truth, to those who might otherwise wouldn't, or don't want to hear it. I am not spinning around as much as you may think, I know the truth, the poem is about; "how do I share it with others?"
