This is very very beautiful. Although the main background doesn't seem overly text friendly but it is beautiful maybe you should do an extra white layer mask over the main background so it dims the vibrancy alittle..but apart from that this is very very nice.

I like the mix of colours here, and the way you over lap the body into the border, very nice touch I love the font, I think the way you picked up the colours in there was another very nice touch Its a very soft effect you've given it, adding to the beauty of the season IMO I'm not overly keen on the picture, I do think the quaility of it lets the piece down a little. Shadowing the orange line has removed some of the boldness of it, without the shadow I do think it would look wrong. Over all a lovely subtle piece, beautifully done text, not to sure how much font you'd be able to use colour wise. I would imagine black to be fairly visiable. Nicely done tho, you've put a lot of work in and it does show

    Hi again Scott,

I uploaded this to my account to see it's full impact. The background appears seamless. Saying on border reads like "Autumn Colors Amazing". Black outlined with loud primary colors rendered in Swash caps. Didn't work for me.

The quality of your border bot looks poor- pixely, more than usual.

The background is too busy and contrasty to support font legibility.

    1. design/composition 16.4

    2. originality(of concept) 16.6

    3. color(compatibility) 16.5

    4. execution 16.7
    (effects/clarity/resolution/seamless)

    5. legibility 15.0
(readability/sufficient contrast between type and background.)

    TOTAL 81.2

Love the picture on the border - and the fact that you faded the background. Very nice.

My first impression.....beautiful.....and I love the way you seperated * Amzing Autumn Colours*

Not sure if you are trying to use that as a Title.....but, I will accpet it this time, as we did not specify a Title had to be seperae from work ~

    Love the Words BTW

I can appreciate the way you took the Back & tookit over to your Bord....not sure if that is a solid Back or not with Bord laid over it, as the Rock gets in the way, and you only incorporated one Bot....looks like a leaf could be fading over....hmmmm ~

Fonts are limited here....Cranberrys....Rust....Browns....but not too many would enhance this Creation ~

Not really fond of that orange Vert Line......looks out of place......to me ~

Your colour scheme is soft and gentle.....but.....I would like to see a Focal point......and the orange sky with green foliage is not the best choice.....IMO ~

Howevr, a very pretty piece of work, but I do not believe it shall score as highly as your other ~

Two is the limit for this Contest Mr. Grizz

    Good luck and God bless,

    Bear ~

Title....Hmm.....it works....but place it.....ya know, I'm going to talk to my other Hosts about this area of concern....let's score it based on words availbale for now......18.5 ~

Colours....17.75...a tad too soft......for me.........looking for more Power and show-casing your ability to mix and fade and match-up ~

Creativity.....17.9....lots of fun viewing your work.....I have a couple of questions for you later.....( no partiality is given to this Artist ) ~

Presentation..... 17.95...a tad weak....but, at the same time, very useable and friendly to other users as well ~

First Impression....18.0...I enjoyed the softness.....am looking for more *Fallish* feel....maybe it's a weeee bit too soft?.....but this is only MO ....you have other Judges coming behind me ~

    Bears Score: 90.1

    Nice job

No editing once a Judge has touched your work ~

The BG itself is a picture I stretched to fit 1280 X 400 first. Then copied and pasted it to itself, embossing the top layer and giving it a soft light to give it all depth. The ROCK was actually a tree before I made it a seamless tile. Then merging it all I made a blank white BG and pasted it over the white. Lightening it with the white BG makes it more font friendly IMO, while still keeping some of the vibrancy of the colors that softening it would gray out. After selecting and manipulating my bot I placed it and merged all again. The point tool drew the vert. lines adding another vector, I then went to font and added that with a gradient as back color to the font. Adding a drop shadow to the vector adds to font as well as the point tool lines at this time. Merge once again add watermark and save. Done deal. In a nutshell.
