Eire.

Missing image

Green and verdant

lush and pure

mystical Erin

antiquely mature.

Inspiring land

tells the poets prayer

while the artists paints

his love affair.

Where the fiddlers lament

plays every heart

and the knackard donkey

pulls home his cart...

For we the Irish

dwell in nature

in our thatched roof cottage

and turf fire culture.

Here we sit on milking stools

and listen atentivley

to history's jewels.

We'll sing our songs

and smile at wakes

because we give our soul

to mother Ireland

to take.

Wow, it's beautiful. I can tell how much you love Ireland by reading your poem. It doesn't just describe the land, but the soul of the land. Very well done.
