Watch me
as my smooth feet glide across
the mahogany cushion of the floor
as I dance my way
into your waiting arms.
Catch me
as my slender frame
catapaults into your waiting arms
and you hold me
as if to never let me go.
Encourage me
as you spin me across the floor
and I land into a pefect ballerina stance
as I force your eyes to dare
my next move.
I move in seductive steps
as I stare at your sugar-brown face
and I watch the waves of passion
consume you
and you drink from the cup of my passion
as I dance my way into your soul
as your heart, in sweet surrender
sways her hips to the tune my heart sings
We touch again,
and worlds of raging fires tumble beneath our feet
and we dance in unison
to the melody of our hearts
As we embrace the music felt within,
I dance with you,
Again.
Author notes
Really this piece is dedicated to one of my favourite movies"Save The Last Dance". The movie brings about a beautiful connection of racial integration and to a greater extent romance between two races.This is what came to mind.
