I reach but you are there no more
Nothing seems to take away the pain

Just to touch for reassurance

Life's little twists took you from me
A premature death not expected by any
left me wanting yet unable express myself
Tears silently fall every night
as I reach to the emptiness of your side
throat tightens and an ache sits there
Sweet memories drift through minds eye
as sleep finally overtakes a weary soul
