(Verse 1)
Blind...
Broken and abused,
what else can I lose
that hasn't fled before?
These things that I abhore,
I throw them all away...
They can't save me today.
Everything is gone,
I'm fearful of the dawn...
(Chorus)
Give me
one more chance,
one kiss,
one last dance.
Tell me
it's alright,
you're here for me tonight.
Leave me
all alone.
Sorrow's
all I know.
You won't
take my hand,..
Forsaken, here I stand.
(Verse 2)
Lies...
Memories and dreams...
Nothing's what it seems.
The evening hours creep,
they rob me of my sleep.
Daydreaming, wide awake,
these chains refuse to break...
They bind me to my doubt,
turning me inside out...
(Chorus)
(Verse 3)
Why?
It wasn't meant to be,
my love is my disease.
I'm longing for a break...
I watch you turn away.
The silence in my room
creates a painful gloom.
I wipe my teary eyes
as the sun begins to rise...
(Chorus)

Author notes
I wrote this song, hoping that it would allow me to let go of a certain girl... It didn't work, but I hope that you will enjoy it all the same. We hope to have this song, as well as many others, ready to listen to at myspace.com/theshadowsofsociety as soon as possible. Keep checking back periodically...
