Such Beautiful Devastation

Missing image
The enormous watery grave,
does truly ebb and flow
Crashing against the shoreline,
asserting power as it goes

Pulled against its will,
by spectral lunar force
Wreaking havoc on both man and beast,
pulling them off course

The iridescent glow,
of her giant sister twin
Gives you the feeling of a haunting,
all can feel it deep within

The beauty of its power,
takes a devastating toll
Each night that it draws closer,
we lose a bit more of control

To collide into this body,
“is to reap the whirlwind”
A catastrophe of such magnitude,
We’d be back; to where live begins

"We'd be back (to) where life begins," is a beautiful expression of this image. I find the words in themselves perfect.
This is a thoughtful piece, full of romanticist notions, splendorous tugs at heart strings, and I wish you the best,
    Jin

Thank you JinSays the last stanza was trouble for me when I wrote it I should know better than to try and extend my thoughts on something. I felt it was too short and the last stanza was a make it longer thing that did not work. Thus now the poem is back to the original length. Thank you for your help. Boog
