My Dad

Daddy when I was younger -
I wish you had been there.
I would have prayed to you
through every single nightmare.

Dad as I grew up -
I think I know you now.
But I don't know what to say,
or when or where or how.

Father now, just as I am,
and still you carry me.
Now I really know.
Now I really see.

So... my Father
is always with me,
still my Dad,
still my Daddy.

I was trying to put the point across that He is everything to us, throughout our whole lives, even if we don't see it.

      Thanks for reading it.
