Star of David, symbol of God,
throughout the ages thou
has been an emblem of hope.
Draw us nearer, ever nearer
to the brightness of your light.
Treasured sign and awesome wonder,
gift of Gods sacred promise,
lift us up into the heavens,
show us our fathers love.
We're just pilgrims on a journey
traveling without sword or shield,
ever yearning for His comfort
in a land that's not our own.
One day soon by His strength
God shall reconcile all creatures
of the earth.
We're no more than a Mosaic
of His eternal affection,
bound together in agape love.
Oh creatures of the world behold His glory,
shed the pride of an ancient past.
Lift your heads up high and worship
He who breathed and gave you life.
Look to the east and follow
the Star of David which guides
us to the place we call paradise.

A great reminder to all readers! Very uplifting and beautiful read. I especially appreciated:
We're just pilgrims on a journey
traveling without sword or shield,
ever yearning for His comfort
in a land that's not our own.
Fantastic read! -
Usually I don't like reading religious poetry but I like this.. especially this stanza:
"We're no more than a Mosaic
of His eternal affection,
bound together in agape love."
Wow, very beautiful words my friend. I love it.
The fourth line had my mind stumbling, should 'drew' be 'draw'?
Besides that, a great write, good luck in the contest.
