The sky is dry, the land is bare
Toxic sea and toxic air
GM crops and killer bees
No water left to grow money trees
Dictators and parades
Dark black suits and dark black shades
Shots and screams fill the night
There are no heroes here tonight
Blood diamonds and wealthy names
Hunting dogs and polo games
Cooks, servants, drivers, maids
Bury them in golden graves
Money shams and corporate scams
Baby boomers, empty prams
Dance all day to an empty hat
Take your doe to the laundromat
So you can preach but I won't cry
'Cause I just watched my baby die
And I have nothing left to eat
But I'll bury my heart beneath my feet
And if I make it through the day
Maybe I'll smile at God and pray
And He'll tell me it'll be ok
Let the chips fall where they may
