Ahead of all is life's inevitable road:
For some paved and smooth; others rugged and rough:
Some glide on with barely no care or load;
While hosts of others trek till they huff and puff.
Intact, some had ridden to destination;
Some halfway are stranded, still waiting;
Purposefully others stride on amid commotion;
Yet more at the start stand numb and staring.
Broken-down vehicles litter every roadside:
They suffer one accident, hitch or fault;
Some are retrieved the road again to ride;
Yet others had come to their very final halt.
We've walked on our rugged road hard and long
Bearing unflagging hope we'd get there with a song.
