It's hard to describe
The kind of love you've given me
It's hard to even begin
To describe the help you've always been to me
Today was a turning point
A new start to something old
A new chance
I didn't know where I was heading
I had cut all ties with you
Not because I was angry at you
But simply because I was lost,
Was to down about the things
That seemed to be going wrong
That I forgot about the one greatest thing I had
I still knew you were there
But forgot you could handle
All my worries
So I asked you to take care of it all
I started crying out
You answered
And promised you would take care of it all
And as I sat there crying out to you
I needed no more evidence that you were here to comfort me
Then the goosebumps on my arms
I knew you were here
Cause the hole that's been in my heart
The last month
Started to be filled in
You started changing me
From the inside out
And though its been merely 5 minutes
Since this event happened
I already feel
Like a brand new person
Thank you Lord

That's great. Many times we try and do our own thing for awhile and only when we go through hard times we remember that God is the always there and is the greatest gift ever. I like the descreption when you described how you felt the prescence of God. I liked it a lot. -

i come from a religious family and have grown up with religious customs and traditions... but inside i have never believed in god. people ask me why i remain religious if i dont even think god exists... and i answer that maybe god isnt the point... maybe god is just an idea thats there to facilitate something else.
but if i forget my own beliefs for a minute, and pretend i do believe in god... this is pretty good.
i like the idea that nothing concrete or long term has to happen to make such a drastic change in a person. well done.

This is a really good, quite spiritual poem. It dscribes what God can do for us. Even if He doesnt get us out of our hard situation, knowing He's there does so much. Beautifully penned.
