Congrats on the Gold. I knew you'd be the winner, because I counted points.
What texture did you use in your background? Is that leather? I love it.

This is a wonderful one
The main body texture looks great. I did think at first they were blurred bits but realise on closer inspection they are animals
Very nicely done and certainly thinking outside the box
The margin is a beautiful collection of shades and textures. It matches so very well. I like the fact its not a stark straight line to, that would have taken away the natural feel this has
Over all an excellent entry

i'm speechless this is to sensational to leave a comment worthy reading because i don't have the words to say how perfect this is.

Hi Cindy!
Another outstanding entry, full of subtle natural beauty. This would be the perfect background to grace
a poem because of that subtlety.
I love the white pine on the border. It looks like an etching. The background layers are rich and dense. No visible seam on the background, of course. Love the fox on the right, more visible than the other animals.
The primary font color, though legible, could be a bit brighter/lighter; more like the other two font colors in it's "brightness quotient".

2. originality(of concept) 20.0
3. color(compatibility) 20.0
4. execution 20.0

5. legibility 19.9
(readability/sufficient contrast between type and background.)

This is Phenomenal
I love it. The color, the fade, the border. Looks like it is carved right out of a tread along the edges. You have gotten so very good with the warped border. I love it

-
Cindy, thank you very much for your comment. As far as your entry goes, it's definitely A++ quality. Most likely going to win
I like the animals as well as the border on the side. I love it! I have to say, though, that if you brought out more vibrant colors (at least in the border), boosted the contrast, etc. it would be better. Good luck in the contest

I agree with brightening the Bord.....just a tad though

Tips of the pine needle would be cool, since they lay atop all the rest ~

nice work here, I like the consistant tone

OUTSTANDING
now this is wonderful WOW!!! the color is absolutely gorgeous.. I love how the colors blend together perfectly. the animals in the background are awesome. they are there, but not overpowering the main body of the bg itself. I really love the border that you have for this background. I'm totally amazed, your talent is something that I hope to someday have.
Good luck
kat

For starters, your Bord is totally cool.....the lapping is what I call perfection....fading is not even needed for your talented quill ~
The Back is sensational.....a lovely colledction of mushroom, muskrat fox....& Bear

Your choice of Fonts are desireable and readable.....very pretty ~
Gosh, I don't really have anything to critique here....your choice of Bord highlights this piece of Art ~
The Back is subtle, yet very affective.....well done!
In the top two entries for me thus far.....good luck and God bless,
Bear ~
Title....19.95...Autumn Allusions....perfection....yes
....but I do hope you meant ALLUDE.....as each one of your animals seem to be alluding the other ~Colours...19.4...I simply adore the colours.....the Font is really nice.....maybe a sliiiight tweek on the light gold, and brighten it up to a more yellowish tone?
