What Have You Done

Missing image
She finds her solitude inside,
her thoughts are where she lives
They have taken all the goodness
from her soul, still she gladly gives

Her life has never been her own,
she has given it to you
Still you steal just what you want
then you bid adieu

You will leave her there so breathless
she‘ll be gasping to survive
Never looking back at what you’ve done,
or how she’ll stay alive

A parasite you are to her,
feasting on your needs
Destroying all that’s beautiful,
and laughing while she bleeds

It’s hope you left there in that heap,
disheveled and a mess
Guess who will be calling for her;
along with all the rest

When all your luck has run its course,
and you look toward the sky
Remember you the one who helped;
the one that let hope die

    Wow! I love the inspiration you received from that picture, this is awesome. It is so easy to just take and take and not pay attention to the devastation left behind. But one day you will have to answer for it.

        I'd be happy to, Boog. There's not much to it, when I can do it.
        Be well,
