passions dance in text among
alphabets and numbers strung
across a visual banner;
a few pauses by ellipses ...
silent emotion cravings these
dots and gem-like cues
t’s crossed, and dotted i’s
question marks less loved than
soulful exclamations in ariel font.
a hundred extra bytes will spare
faces through electric air
loomed smiles in custom shades;
telephone voices then complete
this love affair pixel- sweet
save for hugs and kisses, skin and smell
post scripted, accomodated
by sending scratch n’sniff samples
in a stamped and perfumed evelope.

Oh My!
You wrote this so acutely and painfully correct! I shudder when I think of my children surfing this Net!
I sent Lute a link today of a poetry collection I wrote, inspired by his poems ... It made me blush!
I often fall in love with souls. I simply cannot help it. I am much like Tristan and Isolde. However, I am very much a one-man-woman for a one-woman-man ...
Aren't we all?

Awh yes, the liars club of virtual misfortune.I know of a couple of coul/,no indiviguals. Who married via virtual romance. But both are headed to court.Funny piece.

A sharp clever statement on the current definition of virtual: better than real. Unfortunately the old definition is stil the truth: almost but not quite real. Everything done by those on line in these virtual relationships is and effort to maintain the lie at all costs when the true keeps eroding away all the bull and shinning through.
Enjoyed your impactful piece.
Peace & Light,

Hmmm.... I definitely liked it, but I can't decide whether I liked it. I say that because it was such an excellent poem, but it reduced love to not but a penny toy. But, it was a great write.
Write on.
