stars burst in displays of red and blue
creating pinwheels of soft smiles
and flashy hearts.
it was at the time of the eclipse
when the sun and stars were both lit up
under one night sky.
if our lives were an eclipse you’d be my sun
and she would be your star.
and until the day came when we would sleep during the day
we would never be in love;
because who sees stars in the morning?
