Spring fever is in the air
thus it seems only fair.
To be offering up a prayer
for beautiful bounties we all share.
Each small thought we spare
the magnificence of splendors rare.
Nothing else can compare
to nature’s world out there.
With riches of a millionaire
counting petals from a garden chair.
Spring’s renewal my soul’s repair
ending Winter’s cold, grey despair.

Lovely
This has such a beautiful rhythmic flow, it practically reads itself! Lyrically strong, it creats a mental image that feels like being showered in hope.

can such a delight survive this winter blight

Ahh, the thought of Spring, reading this as winter creeps in on me in Indiana. I always wanted to move somewhere where I did not have to face the harshness of COLD. Alas, Jen wants to be near her mother, and I can appreciate that. Your poem has the ability to indeed bring repair to my soul even though I have to face winter now. I was buoyed up by the reading and that is a good thing. Is it winter there now or another time of year in your hemisphere? RC
