when I was a young baby
I never envisioned of you
never intended to locate you
though, it was my mother
after me all the time
to make me to assimilate you
when she left this world
I discovered her in my core
as a fairy light
along the same
intents to identify you
making me a better person
by putting faith in you
Oh God...

The purity of this piece is startling. I like the power that was infused by using the same line to open and close the piece but my favorite stanza by far was:
"when she left this world
I discovered her in my core
as a fairy light"
Perhaps because it's my own personal feeling that we are never so close to God as when a loved one leaves this world or joins it. This is a beautiful poem submitted by a talented writer.
Thank you for your entry & good luck -
Very interesting poem. I liked that it began and ended with the same line, it really incapsulated it and gives it a nice flow from beginning to end

Very touching and meaningful

(perhaps a greater connection with God comes with maturity) -
You grab my spirit with the light of your mother's soul to reach out for God here..This is my favorite I have read between picture prompt and your words! Bookmarking friend!

Discovering God, is a jorney within ones self, for the union man-God is implanted deep within each living creature in the Cosmos
Reason been that all exist in Him, and He exists in all
Though the perseption of God varies according to customs and beliefes
all over the globe.
the Ancient Greeks upon the Holy Island of Dilos Had many temples from different Nations
thus accepting and respecting all religions, understanding the spiritual grouth of different peoples according to their needs
I am sure your dear mother was trying to awake that spiritual union between you and the Holy, thus helping you to become wholesome.
I am glad you did.
Enjoyed your write
Well done.

Lovely, Prabhu...When one soul has touched another there is always that indelible mark left. Even when the one has 'left', their touch is still so strongly felt...this is how we taste the eternal...And strive to be 'better'. This one reminded me of my own mother's touch, thank you. Peace always, Rhonda
