Pardon this for sounding clingy,
Pardon that this is kind of mushy,
Because you know it normally isn't me.
But I feel like so much time has passed,
When time isn't moving all that fast.
I need to find a way to make this last,
Before you go and put me in the past.
Because with you, I feel so safe.
With you, I feel like everything's ok.
You give me a reason to live another day,
And you're always destroying obstacles in my way.
And if I could, I'd give the sea to you.
I'd give the sky, the stars and the moon.
I'd hand you a mountain if I could too.
If only they were things that I could do.
It's hard now to sit around and lie,
It's hard to find a reason to cry.
Those are good things, and get better as time passes by.
Because I know I'm home, when I'm looking in your eyes.
