I hate the way you always have a reply
To every comment that I make,
The way you listen to classical music
And secretly like to bake.
The way you never seem to hear me
When I point out that you’re wrong,
And I hate how you get angry
When your food takes too long.
I hate how you get my hopes up
With just slightest touch.
I hate how giant letdowns
Never bother you very much.
I hate the way you stare
And I hate the way you care.
I hate how you make me feel so small,
But what I hate the most is that really
I don’t hate you,
at all.

I think I really like this prompt! The poems are so fun to read! The best parts of this poem are when you write about the things you "love to hate" about this person; in other words, his endearing qualities that irk you:
"The way you listen to classical music
And secretly like to bake."
Most of the other stuff in the poem is typical guy stuff:
"I hate how giant letdowns
Never bother you very much."
So good because it is so true!

This is not great but fantastic. You express yourself beautifully it shows the caring as well as the sadness. Whats even more its so easy to realate to on a personal level. I think this is a wondeful and you won't need luck to win in this contest. God Bless
