The sun sets, over a fiery scene.
Turning the horizon to pitch black.
My loneliness is strong now.
As the colour fades,
So too does my will to exist.
I am so intent on being with colour,
that without it I am miserable.
I long for the sun to rise
across the horizon once more.
To engulf me in those shades of fiery red.
But this is not to be,
As the sun sets, my colour is faded.
With no brightness to colour me,
I curl into a small ball.
Nothing can hurt me here.

Lovely. Nice imagery and emotion. The disappearing of color can make us feel lonely. It too is a kind of separation..a breaking away. One of the strongest reasons for loneliness. Great job. Thank you for entering the contest.
