Spirit of the wheel

Missing image
There are many ways to know the pure flame
Amid the silence of the initiate heart love is all
Bright Heavens above turn rotating as below
Circle sky, circle earth as the wheel now turns
With sight perceive farther than the eye
Strength soars on the four holy directions

East is birthing the soul as the sun rises
South becomes loves first joyous flush
West is the breeze on the new dawn
Within this wind are the mysteries
North the wind shines a pure spirit

Fear is not the enmity but a path in freedom
Embrace passionately your long murky shadows
Still serene heart tis the giver of the secret
Seeking self the quest moves deeper
Power is in the circle round as the earth
Heart which sees is the pure flame

The circle that that enshrines and embraces...such a beautiful rendering of your spirit. Best of luck in the contest!

    A thought came to me

when reading this poem: "A ring is round, and so is my love for you, my friend" – implying what is pure and what is perfect. Within your poem, I could imagine the following: there are two circles, each rotating at different speed - the smaller one, within the larger circle can only align its speed with the larger one, when it is able to understand its own purpose, cause and dynamics. Both circles are also at different angles of love, the larger always, the smaller circle only in potential – but, alignment comes from those who understand the dynamics between the two circles, and practice it. The more they understand and practice, the sooner and in ‘speed’ the alignment will occur. Hope I have made sense to you, as your poem is not as complicated as my perception of it? Thank you for you entry. Frans

Your perception is clear. Love is surrounding us and within us and with practice we can learn to love ourselves and give back that love understanding we are part of the creation.
