Cage me?
In worship, windows, walls
Only the heart's curve
Encompasses me
Author notes
How can man build a house for God?
How can a man own a woman?

Yes!
Short, concise & so true! Bravo, & you did it in exactly 13 words.
I love this.
He doesn't live in buildings, the universe is His. You must be a happily married man!

I found this utterly beautiful, I admit my eyes skimmed over the AN and didn't know that there was something there as I was thinking bout your poem so was a little confused by the comments at first but then I understood.
I think your poem is stunning
& the AN deeply interesting ... shame that people are commenting that instead of the poem
♥
Thank You & Best of Luck
Stay safe

How can man build a house for God?
How can a man own a woman?
I liked the AN better. I felt inspired by both questions, and am not quite sure wht the heart's curve can encompass. I know that statement is going to prompt a lecture, so I'll digress quick like, and say, nice poem

Hey. I had 13 words to work with. Did you lookit the picture? I am refering to God's intention to live in the heart of man (the specie, the usage of which implies male and female) 'I will take out the heart of stone, and replace it with a heart of flesh; I will write my laws in their hearts etc' No law in a book has done good. Only those that live in hearts matter. I think you have set a wardrobe change record in avatars in the last 2 days.
In the history of humanity, much of our customs seem to revolve around the ownership of women. I despise the outcomes, especially in the Muslim world. The Bosnian rapes were set up by having a custom where a raped woman was no good to society, not able to marry, becoming a burden. The horrific amatuer surgeries performed to wives... unthinkable. Sorry. Something nicer to think about...
The architecture of the sanctuary is beautiful, but I prefer a white oak grove with sugar maple understory glowing gloriously maroon and gold in the sunset...

You can't
"Behold I stand at the door and knock... "
and I an hear the whisper of the wind in His trees...

In one way, everything man does is building a house for god.
