My eyes close and I drift away,
To a place I've never been
My vivid imagination won't remain at bay,
Allowing my vacation to erupt from within
Bright sunlight appears warm and high,
Salty-sweetness I breathe in through my nose and out of my mouth
A light, cool wind brushes past, with relief I sigh,
I'm here at last, away from my home down south.
Thunderous roars from the sea, cloud my ears
I open my eyes and remain in this paradise
Letting go of all frustrations, deadlines, and fears
Drinking in all of its beauty through wide, excited eyes.
Black sand for miles, collide with the rich blue of the sea
Causing a contrast of natural artistic excellence
Laying underneath the shelter of a proud tree
I can't imagine being anywhere else....

This is my dream trip to Fiji...I've been in love with the black beaches there for a very long time. Being a Floridian as well, I totally understand the need for a vacation!! Hope you have fun!!
