I heard the screaming ambulance siren
strike my ears with its screeching serenade,
my heart pounded as it past,
but eased when it disappeared because I knew,
plasma I'd never seen
would surely spare the life inside
from the cruel clutches of an accident.
In the home where aged shells of dreams
wallowed in reaper rehearsal recitals,
my lips gave soothing serenade
unto the pain their eyes bore
with sunken orbs of seeping hope,
for plasma I'd never seen
could grant them a few more gasps
and bring respite unto their wrinkled misery.
Then I came to a wedding chapel,
where a grief stricken groom
sat in shock at the altar,
which his bride had failed to appear,
his body drooped under sorrow's invisible shroud,
no words spoke from his quivering lips,
the hollowness in his stare
left his face an ashen repose of misery.
Still I knew there as a perfect remedy
unto his hemorrhaging essence and dying flame,
for plasma I'd never seen
had the powers to heal such profusely gaping wounds.
Leaving all behind, content to have shared
what miracles could cure each dire and destitute spirit,
a storm descended in mighty fury
it assaulted me by a lightning bolt rain of stars,
before I fell upon a thorn bush, body filleted in countless wounds.
Amid the emergency room chaos,
this tragedy left me no moment in rescue,
not a single deliverance image drilled my head,
while a nurse connected a tube with plasma I'd never seen
into my veins,
seconds past and the sudden rush in ease came to my torment,
plasma no longer just a thought nor theory,
once it was a realty felt so deep inside.

Interesting!
Deep and passionate. Near heartbreaking. A dramatic and crippling write. Thank you for your powerful entry and best of luck in my contest. -
