My Soul In This World

Missing image

My Soul In This World

Singing a song of hope upon heartstrings

May the wind blow against my back

So I may know the heavens are behind me

help open my heart and eyes
so that I may have the strength
to find the end of my rainbow

In existence with my hymns I soar

Though this world each day is uncertain

I envelope my faith tightly to my chest

not yielding to conformity
I will always be... just me
clinging to dreams of a life

Some moments are divine

I will treasure the best of them

For yesterday is gone,

and tomorrow sings a new song.

I am in awe of the feeling you write in this poem. You have thought of some incredible guides to live by and then expressed them in a poetic form which is really good. Yes, I like it a lot.

    Beautiful!
This is a lovely poem and I really loved the lines:
'help open my heart and eyes
so that I may have the strength
to find the end of my rainbow'
Sounds like an ancient Irish blessing. A quote I'd love to keep to help me keep going towards my dreams.
    Wonderful!

Well my friend and daughter friend...You both just took my breathe away to the extent of tears...to those in touch with Holy Spirit, You will understand what I am saying... (I love to plant seeds)

I cannot find the right words to explain how powerful this is...Such repentance, yearning , perserverance and love and need of love..

I once encountered this process myself...a way of two hearts speaking as one.

This is what came to mind whilst reading.......

Those whose faith is with the Lord shall rise above adversity, shall not faint but shall run, shall rise up as eagles and soar above the storms of life (my version).

Eagles are great to study....We learn many things about how we can be...from infant to adult, the journey.

A lovely message to put across in a poem. I love the hope and how the poem began. simple yet powerful.

"so that I may have the strength
to find the end of my rainbow"

beautiful lines and it helps that I love rainbows. The imagery is good too and happiness sings through the poem. Thank you for telling me to read this piece. It was such a joy reading it.

and you know I love spiritual poetry very much so I am honoured to read your collaberation from the heart.

It speaks of forgiveness of past sorrow and leaving your woes behind, for today is the day that counts.

We can change things today by embracing love compassion and peace.

So beautiful, you two. I love the idea of having heaven behind you. What more do you need, right. This poem puts together the earthly with the ethereal in such a lovely way. This poem is one of hope, but also of certainty. I love the musical imagery--nothing speaks more purely.

    Just wonderfully done.

    Well done

This poem stands out for me due to several factors. Even though the subject matter is one often discussed, the language used is very mature and doesn't fall into the well-worn chasm of sentimental poems about individuality. The statements in this poem have experience and courage as their foundation, which many pieces of this type do not.

A short, but excellent poem. Keep it up!

This is a really great poem, (like always) i love the picture and the background you have placed with it so simple and devine. i love the flow and the deep feelings exspressed here, with the heavens behind you and the last two line are so true and deep i love them, and its not just tomarrow is a new day... we all know that, but tomarrow is a new song brings a lot of depth into this wonderful write,
as always keep up the writing,

I read a lot of truth in your poem. I myself sing hymns and reflect on the words. Just out of the clear blue I start singing. Of course none of us knows what tomorrow will bring so it is always a new song. With Jesus we all have a rainbow bright. Wonderful write my friend. Katie

Don't worry! This was sort of a dedication, his way of showing me some answers to questions I have about life in general while I'm going through a "phase". Sometimes I feel like he is the grown-up part of my heart, where my heart has questions his heart answers them, but of course I'm the only one who see it in his words I'm sure. I know... strange, but that how he make me feel!
So you were right from the start!
