Have I been here before?
I think I knew him a long time ago.
When I was a child, painted with innocence,
swinging beneath the afternoon sun.
In his eyes I see scattered dandelions.
They decorate my life like a wreath,
praying for me to pick them and wish.
As if I still believe in wishes.
Faces pass me by like raindrops,
always new but never unfamiliar.
He looked up at me, from the crowd, as if he knew
that we met once long ago.
Does he remember who we used to be?
Playing hopscotch and wondering
what being a grown up would really be like?
I wonder if we'll ever go back.
