Nectar of The Gods

Wine.
Let's have a glass.
Open a bottle with dinner.
We should go wine tasting.

Would you like red, white, rose?
Sparkling, a light or heavy bouquet?
I love it served with cheese.

Picnics, lunches, brunches.
Weddings, birthdays, fiestas.
Don't forget the wine.

Sodas, juices, punches,
they are just fine.
But a party is not a party,
until you bring the wine.

Nicely done. I like the way you build this up and bring it to a nice conclusion. Wine goes with all occassions!

Even if the prompt has been made pretty obvious in your poem, I'd still prefer if you put it up in your notes.

I like the easy-going nature of your write. Yes, wine is indeed a drink that cannot be done without at celebrations, however minute. It gives the atmosphere a whole new feel. Although, ironically, I haven't had wine yet. I tasted it when I was five and puked it out. But I'd like to try it again.

I like this, yes, but with the title, I guess I kind of expected more. Maybe a kind of story-thoughts of a specific kind of wine. Or maybe a bottle of wine used as an accompanying object for a different train of thought all together. Something perhaps more personal in nature.

I really like the first stanza though. You could have had many ideas as a follow up from then on, and connect it more to the title.

    Swell!

Swell, image filled poetry! Can;t believe the wine imagery! This is another very good write! I like the form and substance! You wrote this like I could have written it (compliment, 'eh) -- just kidding -- but this is really good! You are a natural at this!

lol, this is charming! It has a very good point, and a point of class, I might ad. It sounds playful too, which I like.

    Very good job.

I think this piece really captured the social aspect of wine drinking and tasting. It really makes me think about where I would have wine.

I also love the flow of this piece.

    very nice

i whine about wine all the time. in fact, i loved it too much - until it stopped loving me.

nice description of the compelling mindset.
