I know he’s here, but I can’t see him
we agreed we’d meet over there
I don’t think he would lie to me
he said he really cares
There are so many people here
will I find him before we leave
We’re going in a couple hours
and this time I want to believe
Mom said that he couldn’t be trusted
I swear that he has grown up a bit
He’s not going to let me down
this time he’ll be legit
There he is; oh thank you God,
he’s made it after all
In thirteen years this is a first;
at least that I recall
Hello dad I’ve missed you so,
I really glad you came
Mom was being mean again,
and calling you so lame
But here you are you’ve come for me,
please tell me you will stay
For it has been a long, long time,
since that day you went away
“Yes my dear I’m here to stay,
I’m yours till time does end
I would love to be a dad to you,
and hope to be your friend”

Fine Art Print..www.art.com I am sorry I went long on the poem I looked at the picture for quite some time and with her hands clutching the table and looking out I figured it was pretty important whatever it was she was thinking. To get the feelings I thought she had, took a bit of writing. If it is too long you can DQ me I tried, but could not cut it down.

Far from a DQ on your write! A very inventive mind thoughtfully wrote a poem that could be not any girl, but some girls in this position, hoping Dad would arrive to see her...I give you credit for this poem, as some can identify with it...Girls love to have Dad's approval and need them very much in their lives..Bravo for this write..Some girls will find it comforting ...Pleased with your entry!
