In a bottle (Sonnet One)
Through crystal clear walls of glass I see you
As I am on the inside gazing out
Your body swaying to your song anew
But your mind, spirit, and soul start to doubt
You may cry for me with tears of meaning
Though I'm isolated inside my friend
The sun shines upon me intervening
So I can see many broken hearts mend
Souls in a bottle are still living souls
And some walking proud you may see blissful
The moral of this piece I pen unfolds
If your heart forever remains faithful
Indeed it looks from the outside one's free
Though the one with the golden heart I see
In a bottle… (Sonnet Two)
Circular glass, upon a stage of beige
Sitting with her hands towards heaven she prays
A golden chair beneath here thoughts of praise
Pondering today’s path from yesterdays
Seeing her youth dance nights away freely
Knowing roads before herself she followed
Like the daughter she embraces dearly
Wishing her life to never be shallow
So she gives her some wisdom with heart’s plea
Lovely is the home that shelters their own
Giving them all the love they’ll ever need
Though no matter if your thoughts are full grown
We all can still plant good seeds with good deeds
But parents hearts for their kids sometimes bleeds
