You left without saying goodbye.
It’s Fall, brown leaves are falling here
winds are blowing, my heart cries
remembering you this time of year.
My mind sees you, as I click the lock
way you were always there at home,
waiting for me at five o’clock.
House is quiet now, a bit lonesome.
When I pull the spread down at night,
climb into bed, I hold your feather pillow.
Think of the last time you held me tight,
you were home on a months furlough
Like crystal beads sparkling in a bow
My love remains aglow…

A wonderful use of imagery to convey the loneliness and love when the one we share our life with is working away be it service or other business. Well done
