Moonlight Serenade

Missing image
Beyond the moon where melodies flow,
I am drawn to the mysteries that wait.
Wisdom is lost upon this fool in love,
passion arises within, becomes sate.

Deep into depths of my own reality,
can not fathom life without a sad song.
Perhaps because I have sung solo,
seems like an eternity, much too long.

Love on Earth so distant and elusive,
does it wait for me in dark of night?
Catapult me through time and space,
upon my music let me take flight.

Play a love song this midnight hour,
heartstrings plucked one by one.
Mind takes me far beyond the moon.
love beckons when twilight is done.

This has wonderful rhyme second and fourth line for each quatrain. The reader is taken on a sad journey where wisdom is abandon for love. Elusive in the dark of night will the music catch love to pluck the heart when twlight is over. Gentle hearts guard their lives as solo is sung. Powerful and creative for the reader to take on this walk through the music of the night.
