Missing image

Wire-less she tiptoes
through the warren of
life's mysteries.
Hunting, hunted,
loved but abandoned
cuddled, rejected.
Ever searching for answers,
ever asking questions.
"was she at fault to
drive him away
or did he wander too far
and forget where she was?"
Myriad thoughts
rush frantically in her
worried mind.
He found her
35 years later
"but for what" she
asks herself,
why now,
why not before.
