Standing on the balcony,
saying silent farewells.
Taking in everything,
just one last time.
Cool wind blowing,
the smell of the ocean.
The rented sailboat,
swimming in the tides.
Sandcastle’s we made,
just my mother and I.
The sunsets we watched,
passing the time away.
Now its Summer’s end,
and hello to Autumn’s call.
