Hidden road off the beaten track,
nestled in amongst the old oak trees.
Space to meditate and just kick back,
close enough to smell the sea breeze.
Where deer and wild geese roam together
evenings the birds sing me lullabies…
Smelling wood burning in cold weather
Starry night I peer with eagle’s eyes.
Watching the moon rise above the hill,
reflecting moonbeams light my roadway
brisk walk around, all is quiet and still
pausing as I listen to a bird far away,
My hide out when I need a place,
where nature gives me a warm embrace…
