Shadows

Standing in the light of the Almighty
Feeling all the glory
Tames that agony of finding myself
In the shadows now and then
Shadows of things that be
Manifestations of things that would
Darkness around the corners
The confusion that surrounds the eve
Shatter those depressing places
Shoo away a shadows pull
Step back into the light of the Almighty
Knowing that love is all powerful
Feel the uplifting of your soul
A free mind to think
Give thanks for being chosen
He holds you in His hands

    Dearest poet, you show us the tug of war within the self at times when faith is tested but found still faithfully there. May I offer two respectful perspectives please? Perhaps shu/shoo? Also, perhaps Darkens instead of Darkness or maybe place the word invite/lure/entice before darkness if not, it just felt a tad like it may read slightly different with another word there. As always, never a criticism but a thought shared. Well done.
