I lay sprawled on my couch and stared at my toes
Thinking what it would be like if they became toads
Not the Toad from Mario mind you, as fungi is gross
But toads that serenade Row, Row, Row your boat
As I lay on my back and waste time nice and slow
I blink my eyes once and then twice more
As each big toe became a wart covered toad
Each stared down at me over its bumpy nose
They all at once opened their mouths to croak
"Welcome to the world of boredom, its wonders behold!"
At this point you probably think I am simply high
Of substance that could probably fetch a pretty price
But no oh no, I am actually quite honestly sane
Though at this point, I most likely sound insane
Telling you my toes turned into croaking toads
Now why did I imagine having toes of toads on me
How did that outrageous thought ever come to be
A thought so intense that it turned into reality
That ten great warty toads on my feet I see
Croaking loudly about boredom and wonders to meet
The croaking got louder and I opened open eyes to see
Through blurred vision my alarm clock a cousin gave to me
An ugly toad covered in warts croaking loud as can be
In my voice no less that it was time to get on my feet
And get to work so I may earn some money
