Molten Spirits in the Night

Shadows dance across the tree line,
Molten spirits in the night.

Snap, pop,
the embers go,
some how protesting the fiery display

The flames lick vigorously at an already red piece of wood,
Somehow begging and pleading it to burn up.

We lay together,
I, holding, caressing your hands with mine over yours,
with my neck on yours.

The smell of your hair and the feel of your skin,
pardon me from the mortal world and cast me to heaven.

We gently rock back and forth,
you gently humming a sacred lullaby,
I, with my heart and soul beating in sync.

I gently turn my head

"My love" I whisper
"What is it" she says

"Do you love me"?
"Yes I do, but why have you asked"?

"Because my love" I say "I wanted to hear those wonderful words again"

Slowly our lips come together
Passion, intensity
We both pick up the pace

The flame before us and in us,
melts down any barrier.

Love;

Is a universal language,
Spoken and felt by all.

Even when two can't speak to one another,
ones heart and soul mesh to form one.

Our own fire starts to cool,
Still my hands are intertwined with yours.

As is ours hearts.

The flames before us continue to burn,
casting shadows.

Shadows of Molten Spirits in the Night.

I love the thoughts that you’ve penned, it's just like reading a short story, only much shorter.
