One of my first friends here
was ‘patsoldcat’,
greeting me each morning
with a picture
and a cheery hello,
inviting me into his virtual garden
for tea and home-made goodies
and a nice chat,
making me feel that someone cared
whether I wrote or not,
cared to ask how I was,
cared that I was here.
Even though life and health issues
caused us to lose touch,
I still wondered how he was doing;
I missed his cheery greetings
and often sent silent wishes
that his life was going well.
I am saddened to hear
there are more health issues,
though I am very happy
that someone he loves,
and someone that loves him,
is there beside him.
I send thoughts, prayers and cyber-hugs
to someone who brightened my days here.
Get well soon Al
you are missed by many.
