Fabric Of Society

Fabric of life woven and stitched,
society's existence comes undone.
Frayed edges, weathered by time.
faded colors now starting to run.

Keep hope alive, try to hold on,
generations before made us proud,
Family values and morals taught,
disrespect was never allowed.

Weave once more  fabric of life,
entwine hope and love once more.
Let country be for truth and justice,
let it be a beacon once more.

Let faith be our guide to do right,
as the Master weaves from above.
Stitch by stitch within His hands,
fills our hearts with brotherly love.

    "we are His workmanship..."

Thanks for this commentary tempered with hope.

My favorite poetic part is the first stanza, followed by the last.

    Thanks for entering

    BEAUTIFUL!!!

It it this very thing that is lost to society in this world of today. Young no longer learn from older ones, and listening to others is no longer accepted, all of the wonderful wisdom of experience is lost as people no longer think the older ones know anything.

Wonderful to weave love for the world to share. Strong values and morals of old, Ceasar Augustus took strengths that made the republic great to hold those morals to his country. In the end they lost it all. History will repeat itself with a nation lost in its own sin and immoral life style.

I think just last night I heard a speech similar to this poem by a women named Sarah Palin. And I must say both are excellent and inspiring. You go gals.
