I love the way you look at me, my reflection in your eyes
The way I still feel butterflies when you walk into a room
We met writing poetry, you whisked me away to new places
and on the wings of your words, I fell in love
I saw your heart, exposed, vulnerable for the whole world to see
And I fell in love with your friendship first, then your heart
It was unstoppable, propelling itself in my life
And without my knowing, into my soul
You see, I loved you long before I ever needed you
And I need you now because I love you

Sweet sweet love I give to thee, oh yes I feel the soft warm down of tenderness written, lying in the safety and hope of love bestowed taken flight upon those graceful wings when one is so open and unselfishly called to give. Ahh what a lovely write...

Wonderful title for this poem - and sentiments expressed so well in these lines. Poets write best when they are emotionally involved in a situation, and this is certainly the situation here. Easy to read and understand what you are saying. Congratulations on the bronze win as well. A very fitting ending.

Ah! This is a truly refreshing writ. The outlook on love is one that makes the reader know that you have experienced this emotion at its height. What a touching tribute to one who has influenced you in such a positive way. The change from not knowing the truth of love to knowing for sure that love exists is evident in this wonder of a poem.
