I don’t need a crock of gold
I don’t need a witches brew
I don’t need the pope in Rome
I don’t need any one of you
I don’t need any inner peace
I don’t need any black magic
I don’t need the Sun to shine
I don’t need anything tragic
I don’t need the holy bible
I don’t need the word of God
I don’t need your Jesus Christ
I don’t need another silly sod
I don’t need a statue of Budha
I don’t need any crystal healing
I don’t need any fake astrology
I don’t need any group-hug feeling
I don’t need your worldly dignity
I don’t need someone to follow
I don’t need your type of humanity
I don’t need the Greek God Apollo
I only need to be me
It’s not virtual reality
It’s what I need to be
Just holding on to sanity

If there is such a thing as "Love at first sight" could there be "Hate at first sight?"

I feel a strong force of hate from this poem, it seems like you only wrote this to show others that you don't need them. If this is the point, then you have shown it.
I must give you a word of caution, be careful with saying you do not need others. You also say "but don't believe in me" in your AN, believing in someone could be: "I believe that you, as my friend, will not back stab me."
As I said, the poem shows the point of hate.

Needing Needed
I am not in the best of health, and have not been for 10 years. A lot of, well-meaning, people try to tell me how to get better, by doing this or that, not knowing that I've been there, bought the T-shirt, and all that already. This was penned by me, possibly during one of my down days, I have many of those, and that is the story behind this. Thank you for your comment, and the believing in me, is really me saying I'm not reliable. Cheers Gordon..
